Excellent ministry to have in a church for children different children's activities relating to the Bible, memorizing scripture
The word Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Awana is a wonderful tool for the local church.
Besides the evangelism and discipleship opportunities it provides, Awana helps equip individuals in your church for the work of the ministry. Imagine turning your congregation into an army serving God. Having Awana in your church is a great way for fringe members to become involved, and it helps unite your lay leaders as a team in serving our Lord.
People who have done little or no volunteer work find a place of meaningful ministry and are assimilated into your church. They work with the children and youth, share the gospel with them, encourage them, and have fun doing it! Soon many adults become so involved with Awana and other programs in the church that they can't imagine not being active in your ministry.
This not only helps them to grow spiritually, but it benefits your church, too. Awana works! Countless times, I've witnessed the way God has used this club program to reach youth and adults for Christ and train them to serve Him.
So, if you want to equip adults to serve our God and evangelize, challenge, and train the youth of the world by using a Bible-based, Christ-centered program, then Awana can help.
If you have any questions, please call. Our Awana team of missionaries would love to show you how you can enhance your church's outreach and build your lay leadership.

The Children's Sonshine Network is full-time Christian Radio Just for Kids! As a ministry of Cornerstone College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, CSN broadcasts stories and songs around the clock through participating U.S. radio stations. In a few cities, the Children's Sonshine Network can be heard over regular AM/FM stations. If you happen to live in an area not currently served by one of our affilites, CSN will soon be available through the Sky Angel Direct Satellite System from the Dominion Foundation (1-888-Sky Angel).
For a list of Children's Sonshine Network stations near you, click below on the abbreviated name for your state... www.ktlf.org/csn.htm
The Children's Sonshine Network is a national 24-hour radio broadcast available only through a special receiver and subscription. Evangelism Explosion is at the head of a movement reaching kids with the Gospel. Evangelism Explosion's Karen Gushta works with 'Kids' EE', specifically geared to train youth leaders, who in turn, teach the kids. "We see that we should be talking about a 4/14 window. The opportunity is there to reach kids at this time when they are very open to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord. So, we want to train and equip children to be reaching their peers, their friends, their brothers and sisters and others with the Gospel." Gushta says the program is growing, and asks people to pray for the team leaders. "Kids' EE is now in 35 countries; it's on every continent. We're just having such a great response overseas. Right now, we do have a clinic that's just about to start in Zambia. One of our field representatives has already trained 73 children's leaders and pastors in eastern Africa."

Neighborhood Bible Time began in 1952 in the hearts of Rev. and Mrs. Charles
B. Homsher. Their desire was to reach the neighborhood kids in the slums
of Denver, Colorado. They began conducting children's programs on a school
bus in different locations. The Lord blessed and the outreach and effectiveness
of the ministry has grown.
The emphasis on enthusiasm, evangelism, Scripture memory and Bible Study has not changed over these many years. The 1999 Evangelists were part of 232 crusades in 42 states, Canada, South Africa and Brazil. 44,378 young people were reached with the Gospel, with 7,815 Salvation decisions, 1,825 Dedication decisions, and 13,354 teens reached.
