CURRICULUM: Wycliffe's Great Commission Toolbox CD-ROM
Wycliffe Canada's new Great Commission Toolbox CD-ROM is a tremendous
resource if you are regularly teaching about missions with church
groups. The CD includes:
2 games: A "hangman" type game identifying objects from other
countries - took my 10-year-old son, Josh, 15 minutes to complete, and
he rates it for kids age 8-15. The other game is a new decision
tree-type game that would be thought provoking for older kids and adults
as it goes through the kinds of life decisions a missionary needs to
make during the course of ministry.
several movies about Wycliffe (the 5-minute one was the longest, but
the neatest, says Josh)
and a ton of different lessons (55 to be exact, adapted from _The
Idea Bank_ and _Bright Ideas_. These are modular activities and lessons
for different age groups - about half are for teenagers to adults,
ranging from 5 minutes to an hour - mostly in the 20 minute range.
Lesson themes cover Cultural Differences, Evangelism, God's Will and
Guidance, Literacy and Bible Translation, Going as a missionary, Prayer,
and Teamwork).
